Public Notice of Intent to Apply

2024-2025 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant

The Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County (BGCHC) is notifying the public of our intent to submit an application to the Florida Department of Education to establish 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) programs starting on August 1, 2024, for the 2024-25 program year. As part of this process, BGCHC will host a dedicated 21st CCLC page on our official website, and all relevant proposals will be available for public review on or before July 8, 2024.

The 21st CCLC programs are designed to provide no-cost, high-quality educational programming to students outside of regular school hours and during summer break. 21st CCLC aims to help students meet state academic standards, especially in core academic subjects such as English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics. The programs also offer a variety of enrichment activities and provide literacy engagement opportunities to the families of participating students.

BGCHC is applying to establish 21st CCLC programs at the following locations:

- Fox Chapel Middle School

- Eastside Elementary

- Moton Elementary School
