2nd Annual Monster Car Show

Boys & Girls Clubs of Hernando County is currently seeking volunteers for our 2nd Annual Monster Car Show taking place on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Lead Foot City, 17109 Old Ayers Road, Brooksville, FL.  General volunteer information includes:

  • Day of event time commitment of 4:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Requires standing for long periods of time, so wear comfortable shoes
  • Sign COVID-19 warning.

Prior to Event

3-D Haunted House Assistants
Help assemble and pain on August 21st and 28th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Lead Foot City

Day of Event

Event Set Up
This entails setting up key locations such as haunted house, food court, and assisting vendors in set up.

Greeters (2 needed)
You are the first person that the public comes into contact with at the event.  Greeters are positioned at front gate entry.  Your main job is to welcome attendees, direct them to admission tables, and answer questions.

Registration Helpers (3 needed)
Pass out BGCHC's Goody/Info Bags and other tasks as determined by lead registration staff.

Monster Assistants (6 needed)
Wear costumes, socialize and take pictures with kids and attendees during event.

Raffle/Silent Auction Table (2 needed)
Set up and oversee the raffle/auction table.

BGCHC Information Table (3 needed)
Give out information and answer questions in regards to BGCHC.  Must have knowledge of BGCHC and the programs/services offered.

Water & Popcorn Table (2 needed at table & 2 needed to walk event)
Sell water and popcorn at designated tables and throughout event.

Runners (3 needed)
Garbage check (ensure trash bags are dumped properly and there is a new liner).

Parking Attendants (6 needed)
Adult volunteers are needed to direct automobile traffic in the parking areas.

Photographer/Video (2 needed)
Photographers are needed to help capture the events for use in social media, publicity, and documentation purposes.  This position requires being on the grounds for the entire event and photographing of attendees, vendors, car show, burn & drifting, and overall activities.  A digital format is required.  Post processing skills are a plus.

Monster Car Show T-Shirt Sales (2 needed)
Sell t-shirts to attendees

Breakdown and Clean Up (all staff & 6 volunteers)
Help ensure garbage is dumped properly, 3-D is disassembled and stored properly, tables & chairs stacked, canopies & supplies put away.
