How To Help

Adopt a Child or Family for the Holidays

Sprinkle a little magic through your holiday season!

"Adopting” a disadvantaged child or family at holiday time can inspire a sense of giving in your children.

Follow the instructions below to support a low-income child or family without enough resources to have gifts for the holidays.

Instructions to adopt a family

Contact the Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County at (352) 666-0068 or llesmeister@bgchernando.org to be matched with a family.

After you learn the specifics about your recipient(s) (age, gender, etc.), brainstorm gift ideas with your family. If the organization gave you a list of requested gift items, consider that, also.

Once you have completed your shopping, attach a tag identifying the recipient and drop the unwrapped gifts off at the Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County, 5404 Applegate Drive, Spring Hill, FL  34606.
